Bass wanted by excellent chamber choir in York Can't Post

The Chapter House Choir, York is looking for two basses to start in January 2006. The Chapter House Choir (Musical Director: Stephen Williams) is a thriving chamber choir of 30 singers, founded originally by Andrew Carter in 1965. In this, its 4oth Anniversary season, we are hoping to recruit two basses for January 2006. Our anniversary season includes Tallis's Spem in Alium, St John Passion with the Northern Sinfonia and Lynn Dawson, Poulenc's Mass in G and an annual broadcast of Carols by Candlelight on BBC Radio 2. Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings in the glorious surroundings of the Minster's thirteenth century Chapter House. Please contact the choir secretary Sam Grainger for further information: enquiries@chapterhousechoir.org
