Lord Mayor's Chapel, Bristol, needs alto and bass Can't Post

From mid-January 2006, the Lord Mayor's Chapel Choir in Bristol needs an alto and a bass. The choir is 8-strong, so members need to be confident enough to take a line on their own in 8-part pieces and to do solo passages. The commitment is Choral Mattins at 11.00 am each Sunday, replaced by Choral Eucharist once a month, and an hour's rehearsal at 6.15 every other Thursday, plus extra things at Christmas and Easter and occasional concerts. For this, there is a miserly salary from Bristol City Council; because the Chapel is the only civic-owned church in the country, choristers are council employees! Although the chapel is non-denominational, the services are very traditional C of E. Organist and choirmaster is Dr John Marsh.
