Youth Music UK

Youth Music UK brings music-making opportunities to children and young people who might otherwise not get the chance.

Youth Music UK wants to see more music-making activities available to young people in Scotland and believes all children and young people in Scotland should be able to take their music-making to whatever level they aspire.

Financed by the Scottish Executive, the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) is managed by the Scottish Arts Council (SAC). Youth Music UK works in partnership with the SAC to deliver on the YMI.

With special thanks to:

Set up in 1999, with a remit to support music-making outside of school hours, Youth Music has gone on to reach over one million of the UK's most disadvantaged children and young people, encouraging their talents, building their confidence and transformign the landscape of musical opportunity throughout the UK.
