Singing Weekend (21st-23rd April) - Church Music Studies Can't Post

Church Music Studies

Director: Christopher Gower

(Lately Master of the Music, Peterborough Cathedral)

SINGING WEEKEND

At St. James’s Church, Bodley Road, New Malden, Surrey

(by kind permission of the Vicar and Churchwardens)

FRIDAY 21st – SUNDAY 23rd APRIL 2006

Director – Christopher Gower

Organist – Jason Edge

You are invited to join us for our 12th “Singing Weekend” which for its first ten years was held at Peterborough Cathedral. After a very successful weekend at All Saints’ Church, Clifton last year we move this year to St. James’s Church, Bodley Road, New Malden, Surrey where I have directed a number of ‘Come and Sing’ Evensongs over the past year. St. James’s choir will be joining in the Weekend and Jason Edge, their Director of Music who has taken part in a number of previous Singing Weekends at Peterborough, will be playing the organ for us. As in previous years the purpose of the Weekend is to rehearse a wide range of music in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All the music rehearsed will be sung at the services at St. James’s.
