Based in the City of London, National Westminster City chorus is a mixed-voice, non-auditioning choir of approximately 40- 50 voices, singing a wide range of classical and contemporary pieces. The choirs holds three concerts a year in halls and churches in Central London.

Founded in 1920 and currently sponsored by the RBS group, the choir is the longest running amateur choir in London. On the retirement or our Musical Director at the end of November 2006, the choir is seeking a new Musical Director/ Conductor for January 2007. Candidates should have at least five years experience, both choral and orchestral and while the committee handles the logistics of the concert and rehearsals, your resposibilities will include the booking of the soloists and orchestra.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings in Princes Street, next Bank Station between 6 pm- 8 pm. We are fortunate to have Philip Shannon as our accompanist. Rehearsal/ concert fees, negotiable.

Short listed applicants will be asked to lead a short rehearsal with the choir as part of the interview process during October. We are currently rehearsing Bach Magnificat and Haydn Nelson Mass for our concert on 30th November.
