WALES - Residential Leadership Workshop Can't Post

Following the success of the Singbook Workshops in England and then in Scotland, Youth Music will be running sessions in Wales in Autumn/Winter 2006.

Date: 27-28 October
Location: Aberystwyth
Venue: The Marine Hotel / Gwesty’r Marine Hotel
Address: Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 2BX


Date: 10-11 November
Location: Abergavenny
Venue: The Hill Education and Conference Centre
Address: Pen-y-Pound, Y Fenni, NP7 7RP

Date: 17-18 November
Location: Caernarfon
Venue: Celtic Royal Hotel / Gwesty’r Celt
Address: Bangor Street, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1AY

Workshops are 1-day residentials, commencing on Friday at 6pm and finishing on Saturday at 4.30pm.

Singbook Workshops in Wales are supported by the NASUWT www.nasuwt.org.uk


Who are Singbook Workshops for?
Singbook Workshops are aimed at anyone leading, or aspiring to lead singing with children and young people.

If you are looking for:
  • skills and confidence to start leading singing activities with children and young people
  • skills development opportunities to improve singing leadership
  • creative ideas for singing
  • new repertoire
  • networking opportunities


...then these workshops are for you

What will a Singbook Workshop involve?
Singbook workshops will explore the inspiring songs featured in Singbook whilst developing singing leadership skills.

Workshops will address, head on, issues connected with:
  • how to get children and young people enthusiastic about singing
  • interpretation of songs
  • improving the confidence of leaders


The workshop leaders are both experienced and respected vocal trainers whose knowledge of children and young people’s voices is extensive.

The atmosphere will be supportive, inclusive and fun.

Cost

£140 for individuals sponsored by their school/organisation
£95 for self-funded individuals
£85 for NASUWT members

Price includes all tuition, an overnight stay, meals and a free copy of Singbook (RRP £19.95)
