Boston Choral Society Musical Director Can't Post

Boston Choral Society wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced musical director to continue its development from April 2007.

The Society has a wide repertoire from light concert works to major choral works with orchestra and professional soloists. Our planned programme includes The Messiah to be performed in Boston Stump with orchestra and soloists in June and advance planning is underway for exchange concerts with Boston’s twinned town of Laval in France in 2008

The musical director will be expected to rehearse the society at its regular Thursday night rehearsals, typically leading to one Saturday night concert per term at a venue in Boston. The society is looking for an experienced choir trainer and conductor who can continue to develop the society at a high level in a variety of music. We expect that the successful candidate will be able to develop challenging concert programmes in agreement with the committee and prepare the choir to perform the concerts to a high standard.

Rehearsal / concert fees negotiable.

Short listed applicants will be asked to lead a short rehearsal with the choir as part of the interview process during February 2007.

Please apply with a CV and letter of application to the Chairman, Brian Daley at bdaley47@hotmail.com or to the address below.

Further details are available on our website www.bostonchoral.com or from the Secretary,

Mrs. P. Daley,

17, Godson Avenue,

Heckington,

Lincs.

Closing date for applications 5th January 2007
