Barisons Chamber Choir are having an 'open day' to welcome new singers. We are particularly in need of tenors. The conductor Adam Assen, will be running a workshop on 'Mass for the armed man' by Karl Jenkins and it promises to be a lot of fun, as well has hard work! Anyone interested in joining the choir, will find a workshop a better experience than a normal rehearsal and the choir is looking forward to meet new people. The workshop starts at 3pm and ends at 7pm on 17/12/06 at West Ewell Infants School, Ruxley Lane, Ewell, Surrey. Barisons Chamber Choir are an interesting choir with a diverse range of repertoire- from Baroque masterpieces to African, Gospel and Jazz singing. They perform about 5 concerts a year and have a tour to Europe every summer. They work with the Prague Conservatoire and as well as recordings, they are employed for weddings and opening ceremonies etc. Their conductor Adam Assen, is a young, dynamic and energetic musician with a background in both classical and non-Wesern music. The choir is run by Barisons Management and their details are: Tel: 02032584000 email: barisons2000@hotmail.com You can read more about the choir on www.barisons.co.uk We look forward to seeing as many new faces as possible!
