Here's a list of the choirs I've sung with over the years. I'm always pleased to hear from friends and acquaintances.
St George's College choir (Weybridge) - school choir. Great trips to Belgium and Holland every summer which gave me a taste for Belgian beer (and choral music)
Durham University Choral society - was conducted by the inspiring Brian Primmer. I particularly remember a performance of the War Requiem in the cathedral
St Chad's College Choir, Durham - I was even Organ scholar for a time. How did that happen?
Farrant Singers (Salisbury) - my first "adult" choir.
Wayneflete Singers - Some great concerts in Winchester Cathedral
Romsey Singers - Great little chamber choir. Lots of memorable concerts. More recently a trip to Florence, Siena and Assisi.
Salisbury Musical Society - Just a couple of concerts including 'Israel in Egypt'
Madrigalisti senesi (Siena, Italy) - genial Italian choir who didn't mind me crashing their rehearsals; It was great to sing Palestrina with them.
i polifonici senesi - I had the huge privilege to sing with them for 2 years. I'll never forget their performances of Monteverdi and .... Mendelssohn (!)
Il Quartetto - thanks to Cathy, Beverley and Michael.
Oxford Pro Musica Singers - the only choir to date to have thrown me out!
Schola Cantorum of Oxford - I failed the audition, but I did get to sing Spem with them anyway.
Oxford Bach Choir
Cathedral Singers of Christ Church Oxford - singing when the A team are away
Fiori Musicali
Oxford Collutorium - choir that aims to provide a refreshing aural experience.
